Add “BEST OF THE BEST VALUE PACKS” Into M/B Base Mix To Achieve ALL Other Decorative Concrete Finishes
General Description:M/B 14,000, Marble Bond is an advanced high strength fine aggregate and cementitious ALL PURPOSE HYBRID BASE MIX designed to be mixed with SBC 14,000 Hybrid Concrete Polymer. This creates a polymerized concrete system that is durable, flexible & versatile.Applications can be applied as little as 1/16 of an inch up to 3/16 of an inch to create an authentic marble like appearance to repair, resurface, or texture concrete, countertops, cabinets, walls & usable as a Best Value Bulk Base Mix that “Best of the Best Value Packs” can be added into for Producing Epic Castings of Concrete Goods and as a final mix design for All other categories of Decorative Concrete.MEASUREMENTS:12.5 pounds of Marble Bond Mix will cover approximately 20 – 22 Square feet total.25 pounds of Marble Bond Mix will cover approximately 40 – 44 square feet total. (As a Bond Coat or Overlay at 1/16” – 1/8”)
Usage:Do not apply in temperatures under 50 degrees F. Keep material out of direct sunlight & avoid using materials in temperatures above 90 degrees F.Heated materials from sunlight will create a faster setting time & become more difficult to maintain a consistent mix after being added into the polymer additive. If mixing 12.5 pounds of Marble Bond Mix, steadily add contents into a 2 gallon or 5-gallon bucket with approximately a quarter gallon of diluted polymer concentrate in stirring bucket. If mixing an entire 25 pounds of Marble Bond Mix, steadily add contents into a 5-gallon bucket with approximately a halfgallon up to ¾ of a gallon of diluted polymer concentrate in stirring bucket.Start with a smaller amount of polymer additive, and then add as needed. For best mixing results use a ½ inch variable speed drill with a four-sided mixing paddle (Called a mud beater paddle). Two people works best during the mixing process, one pours while other steadily mixes materials until all clumps are gone & mix consistency is satisfactory (Thick Tomato Sauce Consistency or Thinner Pudding).Upon completion of mixing until clumps are gone, leave mix untouched for 1-3 minutes.Remix & add polymer if needed, this will break the initial set and allow much longer working time for the application of the mix.Use a cement trowel, a small paint brush & or a floor squeegee for application. (A hand trowel allows more control & accuracy, use paint brush for small corners and outer edge clean up and detailing).

Feedback on Mica Flakes – Great Quality, Would Prefer Smaller Size Option
My opinion about the product is that, although it's a high-quality material and meets my expectations in terms of performance, I would really appreciate if there were an option with smaller mica sizes. I previously purchased a product with flakes smaller than 1 inch, and I’d love to know if this particular product could be offered in those smaller sizes as well.
I ordered 4 ounces and they sent a lot more than that. I cannot comment on product yet as I have to wait until summer. I bought it to brighten up my family's headstones as they are fading.
The texture mats from SBC are SO nice! We use them almost daily. thank you for making such amazing products!

What is a concrete texture roller used for?
A concrete texture roller imprints deep, pristine, natural-looking stone, slate, granite, or wood textures into fresh concrete or a concrete overlay — used on floors, patios, driveways, walls, water features, and countertops. Every SBC pattern is cast from real wood, real stone, or real slate rock — never copied from another roller.
What roller handle do I need, and where do I buy one?
Any standard paint roller frame works — pick one up at Home Depot, Lowe's, Ace Hardware, or almost any paint supply store. This same style of handle has fit SBC rollers for decades. If needed, gently expand the wire frame for a tighter, more secure fit.
What release agent should I use — can I use water instead?
Always use a release agent, or the concrete will stick to the roller. #1 Best Release Agent: Bubble Gum Release (search on Amazon). #2: Odorless mineral spirits (available at Home Depot, Lowe's, Ace Hardware) — spray it on the roller, and lightly on the surface if needed. Do not use water as a release agent: it waters down the concrete, and the design will not turn out the way you want.
How long do I wait before rolling the texture?
On most applications, you can begin rolling your roller approximately 10 to 15 minutes in, depending on your material mix — cooler temperatures can take longer, sometimes an hour or more. The concrete is ready when it has a clay-like firmness. Spray the roller with release agent, then roll firmly and evenly across the surface. If the concrete is too wet, the roller's design will not imprint as beautifully as it's meant to — make sure your concrete is ready before you roll.
Should I color the concrete before or after texturing?
We recommend applying color after your concrete design is finished — this gives you far more control over the outcome. When you pre-color the concrete, you risk two things: ending up with a color you don't like once it's already mixed in, or blotching throughout the design if the color isn't mixed in thoroughly. It's simply safer and more controlled to color after the concrete is textured and dry.
How do I seal my finished project?
Sealing is required, no matter what. Outdoors — driveways, patios, pool decks, boulderscapes — use a solvent-based sealer, never an epoxy sealer, since epoxy will fade and yellow outdoors. Indoors — countertops, concrete sinks, coffee tables — epoxy sealers look best and hold up beautifully.
Are SBC concrete texture rollers really reusable?
Yes — made with superior polyurethane, the strongest in the industry by a long shot, an SBC roller is built to handle thousands of jobs, not just a handful. Clean thoroughly after every use and store in a climate-controlled space, and it will keep performing for years to come.
Which roller pattern should I choose?
Weathered Flagstone, Best Italian Slate and our Classy Granite are our most popular all-purpose stone patterns, and our Barnwood and Wood Grain rollers create realistic reclaimed-wood textures for floors, walls, and furniture.
