Description

SBC Concrete Acrylic Colorants are siliconized thermoplastic acrylic stains made for decorative concrete. Each 4 ounce jar is a concentrate: mixed with water it makes 12 to 16 ounces of ready to use colorant and covers about 10 to 12 square feet, so a few jars go a long way on a countertop, accent wall or entryway, and the 32 ounce size covers about 96 square feet. For a first project start at 1 part colorant to 1.5 parts water; less water gives you crisper, more opaque color, more water gives a softer wash, and the thirteen colors mix and layer with each other for marble, granite, flagstone and antiqued effects.

Properly prepared, the colorant forms a durable, water repellent, opaque film on interior or exterior concrete, cement overlays, masonry walls, cement block, pillars and brick, on floors as well as vertical surfaces: patios, sidewalks, basements, tennis courts and [garage floors and driveways with the caveat]. It is not for surfaces subject to hydrostatic pressure.

Please read before ordering. Color always goes on after the surface is fully cured, clean and dry, and after any release agent has been washed off. Apply with a sprayer, brush, sponge or rag, let it dry between layers, and [seal the finished surface] to lock the color in and make it easy to maintain. Colors read differently on every mix and every surface, so test on a small area or a sample board first.
